Editorial, Sourcing and Corrections Policy

MasterMan publishes free educational explanations, practice questions, previous-year paper links, interview preparation and Maharashtra engineering counselling guidance. This policy explains what our byline means, which claims we verify, how AI tools may assist production and what we do when an error is reported.

Who is responsible for the content?

When a page says “MasterMan editorial team”, responsibility belongs to the small team described on our About page. We do not attach a fictional person or credential to improve search appearance. If a named author or reviewer is shown in future, that person’s real role and relevant experience will be disclosed on the page.

Sources and official information

For exam dates, syllabi, marking schemes, admission rules and CAP-round procedures, official authorities are the primary source. Examples include the Maharashtra CET Cell, Maharashtra State Board, AICTE, universities and the institution concerned. We link to official pages where practical and distinguish official rules from MasterMan practice settings. Because authorities can revise documents after publication, students must confirm high-stakes details on the current official website.

Previous-year papers and third-party documents remain the property of their respective owners. We do not describe a generated outline or a MasterMan practice paper as an official paper. If a linked resource is unavailable or its rights holder requests removal, contact us.

Question-bank verification

A publishable multiple-choice item must have a complete stem, four visible options and a valid keyed answer. Automated imports also reject normalized duplicate stems, crop placeholders, missing keys and answer text that conflicts with the keyed option. Rejected items are quarantined for manual repair rather than silently guessed. When the source provides only a correct option, we show that option and do not invent a worked derivation. Existing questions with authored explanations retain those explanations.

Difficulty labels are editorial estimates, not psychometric measurements. Practice scores and percentile tools are educational indicators, not official results. Each test page states its own timer and marking; students should not assume those settings match a current official examination.

Article review and updates

Before publication we check title-to-content alignment, internal links, calculations, important caveats, visible byline and metadata. A “last reviewed” date means the page received a substantive content review on that date, not merely a punctuation change. Time-sensitive pages should be reviewed when official rules change. Older general articles may remain useful, but official sources always take precedence.

Use of AI tools

AI tools may help organise an outline, identify broken links or draft code, but generated output is not treated as an authority. A human remains responsible for deciding what is published. We avoid invented citations, fabricated credentials and unsupported claims. Limitations that apply to our interactive practice tools are disclosed in the Privacy Policy and Terms.

Counselling independence

MasterMan does not sell seats or guarantee admission. College lists are educational guidance based on available cutoff information and the preferences supplied by the student. A previous cutoff cannot guarantee a future allotment. Students must confirm institute status, fees, accreditation, branch details and deadlines independently.

Corrections

If you find a wrong answer, broken link, outdated rule or misleading statement, email contact.mastermanx7@gmail.com or use the contact page. Include the page URL, exact wording and supporting source when possible. We review reproducible reports, correct confirmed errors and update the review date for material changes. We do not promise that every suggestion will be accepted, but we do investigate specific evidence.

Our standard: useful, honest and verifiable content is more important than publishing quickly or reaching an arbitrary word count.
